MAXIMILIANO EMPERADOR / OCAMPO NAVALON SPIRITU; Bust of the emperor facing right, with name and title on the sides. And a ribbon at the bottom with the assayer's name.
IMPERIO MEXICANO / EQUIDAD EN LA JUSTICIA / 1 PESO 1866 Mo; Crowned imperial arms; an eagle with a serpent in its beak standing on a cactus in the middle of a lake within a shield with laurel and olive ornamentation. Crossed by two swords on the reverse and supported by two griffins. On the reverse, a circle of ornaments formed by small eagles and tassels. At the bottom, both swords are tied by a ribbon with the legend and another eagle in the center.
